Pre-fuel pump installation details (M612)
1 - Vacuum line; 2 - Vacuum pump; 3 - Fuel supply line; 4 - Fuel return line; 13 - Pre-fuel pump
1. Remove the cylinder head cover trim panels.
2. Remove the vacuum pump (2).
3. Disconnect the fuel supply (3) and return (4) lines from the pre-pump (13).
4. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the pump assembly (13) - prepare to collect any spilled fuel.
Attention! Do not open the pump assembly!
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - the pre-pump should be filled with fuel before installation. Ensure that the mating surfaces of the components being installed are clean, do not forget to replace the sealing gaskets.
6. Finally, start the engine and check the relevant components of the fuel system for signs of developing leaks.

1. Remove the air cleaner and throttle actuator with the upper air ducts (see Section Servicing air intake tract components).
