The more carefully you treat the engine at the beginning of its operation, the more satisfied you will be with its work later.
Therefore, for the first 1500 km, you should drive at a variable speed and at a variable engine speed.
Avoid heavy work during this period (full throttle driving), try not to exceed the value of 2/3 of the maximum permissible engine speed when driving in the selected gear (tachometer red range).
If possible, try to avoid depressing the gas pedal beyond the point of resistance (activation of kickdown mode).
Do not manually downshift for engine braking. Set the AT selector lever to the switch range limit position only when driving at low speeds, such as in mountainous terrain.
After the first 1500 km of run, the speed and engine speed can be gradually increased to the limit values.
Additionally for vehicles with AMG equipment: try not to drive at speeds over 140 km / h for the first 1500 km and not to raise the engine speed above 4500 rpm.
