Heating Fan — Removal and Installation (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W202)

The fan motor is located on the right side under the dashboard, below the glove box. The air filter is also accessible from there.

Removal



1. Turn off the fan.

2. Remove the cover under the glove box in the co-driver's footwell. To do this, unscrew the front Phillips head screw, turn the plastic spring clip on the side of the footwell outlet nozzle 1/4 turn and remove. Insert your fingers into the holes in the cover and remove it towards the driver's seat.

3. Remove the fan motor housing from the mounting.

4. Disconnect the wire connector and unscrew the fan motor (A32m1).

Installation



1. Check the fan impeller in the mounted state for ease of rotation. Remove any foreign bodies that accidentally got there from the air duct.

2. Install the electric motor and screw it on.

3. Put on the wire connector.

4. Install the shell in the reverse order of removal.
