Cause of malfunctionMethod of elimination
No spark. Distributor cap is wet and dirtyClean and dry the distributor cap, spray the inside with a special compound
Cracks on the distributor cap, burnt channelsReplace the distributor cap
The carbon contact in the distributor cap is worn outReplace carbon contact
Defective distributor rotorReplace the distributor rotor
Distributor rotor resistance too highReplace the distributor rotor
The spark plugs are connected in the wrong orderConnect the plugs according to the firing order
The spark plugs are wet due to many attempts to start (flooded)Turn the candles inside out and dry them
The candles are damp and dirty on the outsideClean and dry the candles, put the silicone protective cover on the candle and cap
Ignition coil power is too lowCheck the electrical connections on the ignition coil for tightness and good contact
