Contents: Front axle ↡ Rear axle ↡
Note: Checking and replacement must be performed with the axle gearbox warmed up.

Examination

1. Thoroughly wipe the surface of the bridge housing around the filler/inspection plug (1).

2. Unscrew the plug - the oil level in the crankcase should reach the lower edge of the hole, if necessary, make the appropriate adjustments (use the funnel). Make sure the plug is tightened to the required torque.

Replacement

1. Prepare a drain container of suitable volume.

2. After wiping the surface of the crankcase around both holes, unscrew the filler (1) and drain (2) plugs.

3. Wait until the oil has finished draining, then screw the drain plug (2) back into place and tighten it to the required torque - if necessary, replace the sealing washer first.

4. Using a funnel, pour the required amount of fresh oil of the required grade into the gearbox housing - the oil level should reach the lower edge of the filler/inspection hole.

5. Screw in and tighten the plug (1) to the required torque.

The procedure is the same as described above for the front axle.
