Removing
1. Remove the washer reservoir.
2. Mark the position of the front wheel on the hub with paint. This will allow the assembly to set the balanced wheel in its original position.
3. Loosen the wheel bolts. The vehicle must be on wheels during this operation.
4. Install the front of the car on the goats and, having unscrewed the wheel bolts, remove the front wheels.
5. Vehicles with a diesel engine. Remove the front engine guard.
6. Cars with a gasoline engine. Remove the engine protection on the right side and in the middle.
7. Disconnect the multi-pin plug of the engine control unit and release the corresponding wiring harness from the mounts.
8. Raise the engine with a hoist, hoist or crane with an appropriate chain just enough to remove the engine mount.
9. Remove the rear of the front fenders.
10. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a basic strut on the left side of a beam of the forward bridge.
11. Remove the side trim near the control arm.
12. Disconnect, having unscrewed bolts of fastening, the anti-roll bar.
13. Disconnect the ball joint that secures the transverse suspension arm to the steering knuckle.
14. Disconnect the power steering pump from the front axle beam and secure it to the engine with a wire.
15. Disconnect the steering gear rack from the front axle beam and secure it to the wire on the engine.
16. Cars with a diesel engine. Remove the charge air cooler.
17. Remove the mounting bolts and disconnect both front engine mounts from the front axle beam.
18. Unscrew bolts of fastening and disconnect both support of a back suspension bracket from the engine.
19. Disconnect on the right side of a beam an arm of the pipeline of the conditioner.
20. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a beam of the forward bridge to a car body and remove it, having submitted downwards.
21. Unscrew the transverse suspension arm from the beam.
Attention! Fastening nuts are subject to mandatory replacement after unscrewing them. To do this, squeeze the ends of the cotter pin on the outer nut and remove it, and then remove the nut itself from the guide. To remove the inner nut, first remove the holder.
21. Unscrew bolts of fastening and disconnect both support of a back suspension bracket from a cross beam of the bridge.
Installation
Attention! Be sure to replace the self-locking nuts with new ones after each dismantling.
Installing the front axle cross member is done in reverse order.
22. Establish a forward wheel according to the marks put at removal. Before doing this, lubricate the wheel disc seat on the hub with a thin layer of bearing grease. Do not grease wheel bolts. Screw in the wheel bolts and lower the car. Tighten the nuts in a cross pattern to 110 Nm.
23. Have a workshop check and adjust the camber and toe.
