Removing
Attention! There is a risk of injury when jacking up a vehicle, so read the safety precautions before starting work see relevant chapter.
1. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on jack stands.
2. Install the appropriate clamp on the damping spring 1 in such a way that its handles compress at least three turns of the spring (see illustration).
Attention!. Only a reliable tool should be used to compress the spring, e.g. HAzeT-4900-2A with clamping handles 4900-15/2 (see illustration 11.2).
3. Gently compress the coil spring and remove it. If necessary, also remove the restrictive cup and rubber seal.
Attention! Instead of a cup and gasket, there can only be a plug.
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Attention! If a plug was previously installed, when installing the spring, replace it with a restrictive cup and rubber gasket.
