Warning! Jacking up a vehicle can pose a risk of injury, so please read the safety precautions before performing any work, see the relevant chapter.


1. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on jack stands.

2. Install the appropriate clamp on the shock-absorbing spring 1 so that its handles compress at least three turns of the spring (see illustration).

Attention! To compress the spring, use only a reliable tool, for example, HAzeT-4900-2A with clamping handles 4900-15/2 (see illustration 11.2).


3. Carefully compress the coil spring and remove it. If necessary, also remove the limit cup and rubber gasket.

Attention! Instead of a cup and gasket there may be only a plug.


Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Attention! If a plug was previously installed, replace it with a limiting cup and rubber gasket when installing the spring.
