Textile upholstery
Vacuum the upholstery of the cushions or brush it with a not too soft brush. For heavy soiling, use dry foam. Treat grease and oil stains with cleaning gasoline. However, detergent must not be poured directly onto the material, otherwise halos will inevitably form. The stain is treated by circular wiping from the outside to the inside. In most cases, other contaminants can be removed with warm soapy water.
Leather upholstery
When exposed to strong sunlight and for long periods of parking, close the seats so that they do not fade.
Lightly dampen a knitted or woolen cloth with water and use it to clean the leather surface without overwetting the leather or seams. Then wipe the dried skin with a clean and soft cloth.
Heavily soiled leather can be cleaned with a mild, neutral detergent without bleach (two tablespoons per liter of water) Carefully remove grease and oil stains without pressing with a swab dipped in cleaning gasoline.
Purified (varnished) leather chairs in order to care for them must also be treated with carnelian oil as an anti-electrostatic agent. Shake this oil well before use and apply it in a thin layer with a soft cloth. After soaking it, wipe the skin with a clean and soft cloth. This treatment is recommended under normal use every six months.
