Windshield wiper drive electric motor installation details


1. The installation details of the windshield wiper motor are shown in the illustration, to which all references in the text refer.

2. Remove the windshield wiper drive assembly (see Chapter Body).

3. Loosen the axle nut (1) and unscrew the screws (3) securing the drive rods (2) to the electric motor assembly (M6/1).

4. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector (X88/2) and remove the drive motor assembly (M6/1).

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - ensure that the parking position of the drive is set correctly; when screwing the axle nut (1) onto the motor shaft, ensure that the drive lever is lowered vertically downwards.

1. The details of the installation of the rear window wiper motor are shown in the illustration, to which all references in the text refer.

2. Move the drive to the parking position.

3. Remove the inner trim of the tailgate (see Chapter Body).

4. Remove the rear window wiper arm (see Chapter Body).

5. Remove the high-level brake light (see Section Removal and installation the high-level central brake light).

6. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector (3).

7. Disconnect the washer fluid supply pipe from the union connector (1).

8. Remove the screws (2) securing the drive assembly to the tailgate.

9. Remove the electric motor drive (M6/4).

10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - if necessary, replace the door frame bushing.
