Rear Wheel Brake Flexible Hose Installation Details (using the example of models equipped with floating type calipers)


1. The details of the installation of the brake hoses are shown in the illustrations to which all references in the text refer.

2. Disconnect the brake line (51) from the hose (5) - immediately plug the open end of the brake line.

3. When working on the front wheel brake mechanisms, release the electrical wiring from the brake pad wear and wheel speed sensors from the retainer on the hose (51), then unscrew the hollow bolt of the nipple connector and disconnect the hose from the caliper.



4. When working on the front wheel brakes, disconnect the hose by unscrewing the fitting from the caliper.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - do not forget to replace the sealing washers of the nipple connectors.

6. Finally, correct the hydraulic fluid level and bleed the brake system (see Section Bleeding the brake system).
