Removal
19. Disconnect the ground (-) wire terminal from the negative battery terminal, after turning off the ignition.
Warning! When you disconnect the battery from the radio, the security code is deleted, as well as all automatic settings on the radio station. If the code is unknown or not written down, then the radio can only be put into operation by resorting to the help of a workshop or the manufacturer of the radio. Therefore, make sure in advance that the code is known.
20. Cars produced before 2/01. Insert the plastic wedge (see arrow in illustration) into the joint between the block and the overlay and remove the overlay.

21. Cars produced from 01/03. Remove the rear part of the center console, see the relevant chapter.
22. Disconnect the plugs of switch block 2 (see illustration 32.20).
23. Release the switch block from the console and remove it.
Installation
24. Secure the switch block 2 to the cover 1 of the console or to the console itself (see illustration 32.20).
25. Connect the switch plugs.
26. Cars produced before 2/01. Install cover 1 on the rear part of the central console and secure it (see illustration 32.20).
27. Vehicles produced from 01/03: Reinstall the rear section of the center console.
28. Connect the negative (-) cable terminal to the battery terminal, making sure the ignition is off.
29. Set up the electronic clock.
30. Enter the security code into the radio receiver.
