Radio receiver — removal and installation (Mercedes-Benz A-Class W168)

The radio is located in the mounting compartment on the center console. To remove the radio, you need special pullers or two templates approximately 0.5 mm thick.

1. Disconnect the ground (-) wire terminal from the negative battery terminal, after turning off the ignition.

If the radio has an access code, make sure that the code is written down before disconnecting the battery and can be entered into the radio later. If the code is unknown, the radio can be turned on by a specialized workshop or its manufacturer.

2. Purchase two removable brackets or make your own, following the illustration. The inscriptions "Tor R" and "Tor L" should be facing up. The bracket with the inscription "Tor R" is inserted into the slot from the right side, and "Tor L" - from the left.

4. Remove the radio from the mounting compartment.



5. Disconnect the antenna wire and power plugs from the back of the radio.

Attention! There is a fuse on the back of the radio.


Installation



6. Connect the antenna wire and plugs to the back of the radio.

7. Install the radio into the mounting slot on the console. The radio should snap into place.

8. Connect the negative (-) terminal of the battery cable to the negative terminal.

9. Set the clock.

10. Enter the security code into the radio receiver.
