Removal



1. Remove the intake manifold module, see the relevant chapter.

2. Remove the heat shield.

3. Remove the radiator fan diffuser, see the relevant chapter.

4. Disconnect the exhaust pipe and the catalytic converter by unscrewing the bolts on the connecting clamp and removing it.

5. Unscrew the clamp bolts at the connecting joint of the turbocharger and catalytic converter and remove the clamp.

6. Unscrew the two catalytic converter mounting bolts and remove them together with the washers.

7. Move the catalytic converter towards the washer reservoir, turn it 90° to the right and remove it by pulling it up.

Caution! When performing this operation, do not damage the radiator. It is recommended to cover the radiator with a rag or cardboard beforehand.


The catalyst is installed in the reverse order of removal. Before installation, clean the sealing surfaces, check the condition of the connecting clamps and replace them if necessary.
