Vehicles with a gasoline engine.
Removing
1. Lower the engine on the front axle beam, see relevant chapter.
2. Disconnect the air conditioning compressor and secure it with wire to the body, without disconnecting the refrigerant circulation hoses from the compressor, see relevant chapter.
3. Remove the alternator, see relevant chapter.
4. Unscrew six bolts of an arm of fastening of a natyazhikovy belt tensioner and remove it.
5. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a support of the engine to an arm of the oil pallet.
6. Unscrew bolts of the oil pallet and remove it. If necessary, knock it down with a rubber mallet.
Installation
7. Apply sealant, eg Loctite 5900, in a layer with a diameter of 2.0 +/- 0.5 mm. The sealant layer should go around the holes for the mounting bolts from the inside, and bypass the corner holes from the engine mount bracket. On the transmission side, apply an additional layer of sealant.
8. Install the oil pan 10 minutes after applying the sealant, screw and tighten the mounting bolts.
9. Install the ribbed belt tensioner mounting bracket and secure it with the bolts without final tightening.
10. Install the generator, making sure it is snug against the seating surface.
11. First tighten the three upper bolts of the ribbed belt tensioner bracket, then the bolt near the guide roller, and then both lower bolts.
Tightening torques for threaded connections:
- oil pan to cylinder block and timing cover - 14 Nm
- engine mount bracket to oil pan - 20 Nm
- engine mount bracket - 55 Nm
- ribbed belt tensioner bracket - 20 Nm
