Installation details of the control module K/V
1 - Control panel for the operation of heating/ventilation/air conditioning systems; 2 - Trim panel for console section of instrument panel; 3 - Heater/Air Conditioner Evaporator Heat Exchanger Housing; 4 - Bolt; 5 - Wiring connector pin; N19 - K/V control module


1. The installation details of the A/C control module are shown in the illustration, to which all references in the text refer.

2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

3. Remove the control panel (1) (see Section Removal and installation the control panel for the heating/ventilation/air conditioning systems (for models 163.113/136/154/172/174 to 31.8.01)).

4. Unscrew the bolt (4) securing the A/C control module (N19) to the evaporator casing (3).

5. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector (5) of the A/C control module (N19) and remove the latter from the evaporator housing (3).

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

7. Enter the radio receiver security activation code.

8. Clear the memory of the on-board diagnostic module (see Chapter Engine electrical systems).
