Clutch — removal and installation (Mercedes-Benz A-Class W168)

It is assumed that the power unit has been removed.

1. Drain the transmission oil from the gearbox.

2. Disconnect the gearbox from the engine.

3. Secure the gearbox to the stand.

4. Unscrew the 2/1 bolts that connect the clutch housing to the gearbox (see illustration).

5. Disconnect the 2 clutch housing from the gearbox (see illustration 3.4).

The clutch and gearbox are assembled in the reverse order of removal.
