- erroneous actions when starting the engine must be excluded;
- there must be fuel in the tank;
- fuel system pressure and compression are normal;
- the battery is charged;
- the starter rotates with a sufficient number of revolutions.
Almost all malfunctions of the control electronics can be determined only with the help of special instrumentation.
Attention! If the high pressure fuel lines are removed, they must first be cleaned with a cold cleaner.
Engine does not start or starts poorly
Preheat system not working
Check the preheater.
Fuel cut-off valve not opening
Check the fuel cut-off valve, the engine control unit, and the anti-theft system unit.
Fuel supply is insufficient. Faulty fuel supply system
Check if fuel is being supplied:
- A) fuel hoses are kinked, clogged, leaking, porous or loose
Clean fuel lines:
- b) clogged fuel filter
Replace fuel filter:
- V) clogged fuel tank ventilation, dirty filter in the tank
Clean the ventilation and filter mesh.
The engine runs jerky at idle and when pulling away
Weak fuel lines
Replace the fuel hoses, secure them with clamps, tighten the hollow bolts.
Swapped supply and return fuel lines
Check fuel line connection.
Fuel supply is insufficient. Faulty fuel supply system
Check if fuel is being supplied:
- A) fuel hoses are kinked, clogged, leaking, porous or loose
Clean fuel lines:
- b) clogged fuel filter
Replace fuel filter:
- V) clogged fuel tank ventilation, dirty filter in the tank
Clean the ventilation and filter mesh.
Too much fuel consumption
Air filter dirty
Replace the air filter element.
Leaky fuel system
Perform a visual inspection of all fuel lines (inlet, outlet and main), fuel filter, fuel pump and injection pump.
Clogged fuel outlet line
Blow out the outlet pipe to the fuel tank.
