Attention! If the hood lock opens with difficulty, then there is no need to lubricate it. It must be replaced.
Removal
1. Open the hood.
2. Mark the mounting position of bracket 1 of the lock by tracing it and the heads of the bolts that secure it with a felt-tip pen and write down the position of the fitting marks A (see illustration).
3. Unscrew the bolts 2 securing the bracket and remove them together with the gaskets 3 (see illustration 3 6.2)
4. Remove the air intake pipe 4 (see illustration).
5. Remove the cover plate 5 of the lock by pressing the release clamps 6 (see illustration).
Attention! The illustration shows the overlay already removed.
6. Mark the installation position of the hood lock by tracing the lock 7 and the heads of its mounting bolts with a felt-tip pen (see illustration), and record the fitting marks A.
7. Unscrew the hood lock mounting bolts and remove the lock.
8. Disconnect the drive cable from the lock.

Installation
The hood lock is installed in the reverse order of removal.
The tightening torque of its bolts is 10 Nm. If necessary, adjust the hood.
