1 - Union nut of the nipple connector; 2 - Hollow bolt of the nipple connection; 3 - ATF cooler mounting nuts; 4 - ATF cooler; 5 - Support bracket


1. Remove the crankcase guard (except models 463.246).

2. Drain the ATF (see Chapter Routine care and maintenance).

3. Loosen the union nut (1) of the union connector on the cooler (4) - prepare to collect any spilled liquid.

4. Unscrew the hollow bolt (2) of the union nut on the cooler (4) - prepare to collect the spilled liquid.

5. Loosen the nuts (3) securing the oil cooler (4).



6. On models 463.266 (G55 AMG), pull the support bracket (5) away from the cooler (4).

7. Remove the cooler (4) - be prepared to collect any spilled liquid.

8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
