Attention! When any of the differentials are locked, the ABS is automatically disabled.
Anti-lock brake system (ABS) prevents premature blocking of the wheels by continuously controlling the speed of their rotation during braking by modulating the pressure of the hydraulic fluid in each of the brake mechanisms. The system is activated automatically when the vehicle accelerates to a speed of over 8 km/h.
Note. Sufficiently noticeable pulsations of the foot brake pedal during hard braking are associated with the activation of the ABS and should not cause concern - keep depressing the pedal.
When the LOW mode of the transfer case is activated, the ABS is transferred to a special mode of operation in which, when the vehicle slows down to a speed below 30 km / h, the front wheels are periodically blocked in order to reduce the braking distance.
Attention! Be aware that setting the ABS to a special mode of operation for off-road driving may result in «diving» slow moving vehicle, significantly reducing its handling!
