Front side airbag module installation details (using the driver's door module as an example)

Front side airbag module installation details (using the driver's door module as an example)


1. The installation details of the front side airbag modules are shown in the illustration to which all references in the text refer.

2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

3. Remove the interior trim of the corresponding front door (see Chapter Body).

4. Drill out the mounting rivets (1).

5. Unscrew the bolts (2) and remove the airbag module, separating the electrical wiring (3) from it.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

7. Finally, perform SRS diagnostics using special equipment (contact car service specialists for help).

1. The installation details of the rear side airbag modules are shown in the illustration to which all references in the text refer.

2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

3. Remove the interior trim of the corresponding rear door (see Chapter Body).

4. Disconnect the contact connector (2) of the airbag inflator igniter wiring.

5. Drill out the mounting rivets (1) and remove the airbag module (3).

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

7. Finally, perform SRS diagnostics using special equipment (contact car service specialists for help).
