The release handle of the additional bonnet latch retainer (2) should protrude slightly from the decorative radiator grille

The hood latch release lever handle is located at the bottom of the left front pillar, under the parking brake pedal.

When you pull the handle towards you, the additional hood latch release handle should come out of the decorative radiator grille - pull the handle towards you and lift the hood, having first made sure that the windshield wiper arms are not pulled away from the glass.

Before slamming the hood, make sure that you have not left any tools, rags or other foreign objects in the engine compartment.

To close, lower the hood to the bottom position, leaving a gap of about 20 centimeters, then release it. To check the reliability of the hood locking in the closed position, pull it up by the front edge.

Note: To avoid damaging the paintwork, do not press the loosely closed hood with your hands - the correct solution is to open it again and try to slam it shut again by releasing it from a small height.
