1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Separate the lens of the lamp assembly (E3 or E4). Assess the condition of the sealing gasket, prepare a replacement if necessary.
3. Mark and disconnect the electrical wiring (4).
4. Remove the lamp holder (5).
5. Loosen the mounting screws (arrows) and remove the lamp assembly casing (3).
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
7. Finally, read the DTC codes and clear the on-board diagnostic system memory using the STAR DIAGNOSIS scanner (6511 1801 00) (See Chapter Engine electrical systems).
