Diesel Engine Glow Plug Installation Details

Diesel Engine Glow Plug Installation Details

1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature (about 80°C).

Attention! The spark plugs should be removed only after the cylinder head has fully warmed up!

2. Turn off the engine.

3. Disconnect the return fuel line going to the high-pressure fuel pump from the fuel distribution line.

4. Disconnect the electrical wiring (3) (see Section Checking glow plugs) and with the help of a special device (HAZET 4760-1) remove the spark plugs (R9).

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - do not forget to first clean the spark plug niches with a special perlon brush with a diameter of 10 or 6 mm.

6. Finally, start the engine and check the fuel system for signs of developing leaks.
