Rear Headlights — Bulb Replacement (Mercedes-Benz A-Class W168)

The rear lights contain the brake lights, parking lights, turn signal and reversing lights. The rear fog light is located on the driver's side of the trunk. Removal and installation of all rear light bulbs are performed in the same way.

1 - brake light bulb
2 - reversing light bulb
3 - direction indicator light
4 - side light bulb. In the headlight on the driver's side there is
double-filament side light and fog light bulb


24. Open the rear hatch.

25. Open the cover that covers the pocket on the side trim of the trunk.

26. Pull the cover 1 in the trunk by the handle 2 (see illustration).

27. Squeeze the leads 3 and remove the board 4 for fastening the bulbs (see illustration 26.26).



28. Press on the bulb, turn it to the left and remove it from the socket.

29. Replace the burnt-out light bulb with a new one. Make sure the light bulb is securely fastened in the socket.

30. Secure the bulb mounting plate to the headlight housing.

31. Install the cover and close the pocket on the trunk trim.
